Kure-ous Community Fest

Come on down to the Ocean Front Park in Kure Beach on Saturday, April 29th for the Kure-ous Community Fest. The fun kicks off at 11 AM and continues through 3 PM. Carl Newton’s Review will be laying down the funk from the main stage, with No Sleeves Magic giving them a break between 12:30-1:30 PM. As you stroll Atlantic Avenue you’ll have the opportunity to warm up your throwing arm at the dunk tank to send a Kure Beach Firefighter into the bilge, keep your brain sharp as you attempt to break civil war secret codes at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site booth, set your creativity free with the Island Art Council, pose for a photo with a costumed character, get up close to some reptiles from the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and much more. When you work up an appetite, visit one of our delicious restaurants or food vendors on site.

Events of this scale would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. The Town would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the following sponsors: Civic Federal Credit Union, Duke Energy, Engineering Services, P.A., Ned M Barnes Attorney At Law, and Wells Construction Corp. Be sure to show them some love.

The Town has waived paid parking enforcement in all Town-owned spaces for the day. We look forward to seeing you!
