For the month of April’s Rescue highlight, we decided to do it a little differently. We decided to highlight Lost Dog Recovery, Wilmington, NC. This is a group of volunteers that help reunite families with their lost dogs. For the past several months, I have been watching this group of ladies capture and reunite many dogs with their families. And last week one of my adopters had one of her dogs escape and these girls jumped right into action, and in 24 hours they had their precious dog Luna back after being gone for 11 days!!! I can’t say enough good things about this group, and I felt compelled to not just highlight them, but help collect much needed supplies so that they may continue their mission. There is a wish list and some of the items are specific because it is what has been tried, and true to help capture the lost dogs. They could also always use gift cards so to help with their gas and monthly charges for their cameras. I have included a few of their success stories, but there are so many more! It’s important to know that they are not a nonprofit charity, but I chose to highlight them because they deserve recognition for all of their hard work. They volunteer all of their time and they’re not paid for this much needed service. You are welcome to send them a gift via Venmo or stop by the store and drop a donation in the donation box that’s marked for Lost Dog Recovery.
Please spread the word, and let’s let our community know about these awesome women!”
